Dear Clif,

Hey there—just wanted to say we missed seeing your face and hearing that one-of-a-kind mix of wisdom and humor you bring to the table. I know you’re navigating some heavy grief right now, and my heart goes out to you. But I thought I’d share something that might put a little light back in your day—and maybe even persuade you to fire up those videos again.

So, my father-in-law… he was a tough-as-nails, Harley-riding guy from New Hampshire. At first glance, I thought he was about as “Normie” as they come—big temper, big opinions, and a worldview that seemed carved in stone. Just another “ old fart”

Lol!!

But, oh, was I wrong. Once I introduced him to your work, something clicked. He started peeling away those programmed layers and began looking at life completely differently.

By the time he passed away on this this Christmas Day, he’d become this surprisingly spiritual, deeply thoughtful guy. At his funeral, his family told story after story about how much he’d changed—how peaceful and grounded he became. And the funny part? They traced a lot of it back to the things he learned from this guy his daughter kept talking about… yep, you.

The other old fart !!

Clif,

I can’t tell you how much that meant to me,

to see how your words had such a profound impact on someone I loved.

You have this uncanny ability to crack through the toughest shells and make people see life through a totally new lens. And right now, with all the chaos swirling around us, we need that gift of yours more than ever.

I know grief is a long, messy road, and it’s not something you can just sidestep. But maybe—just maybe—getting back to doing what you do best could be a way to honor your wife, help yourself heal, and remind all of us that we’re not alone in these trials and tribulations. Plus, let’s face it, the world doesn’t just need you—it *deserves* you, Clif.

So whenever you’re ready, know we’re here, waiting, and rooting for you. You’ve already done so much for so many of us—don’t underestimate how much good you still have to share.

With gratitude, love, and a little nudge,

Samantha “Sammie”

Hello (Humans),

...just as a point of chronological edification...

I was navigating an LNG (liquid natural gas) supertanker at night, between Borneo and Japan in the late 1970s. I knew about bioluminescence from the 2 or 3 semesters of oceanography that I studied at Massachusetts Maritime Academy just a few years before.

As we were on autopilot; the helmsman and I were out on the bridge wing which overhangs from the side of the ship about 3 or 4 meters.

Below the surface of the water a serious, multicolored light show began and moved along with us at approximately our speed, which was about 22 knots or 25 mph. There was no way this could be bioluminescence as the central source was moving along with us, and bioluminescence tends to be part of the ocean soup or emitted from creatures that aren't that fast moving. This went on for about 10 minutes.

A few years later I was navigating surface vessels for The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and I asked some of the marine biologists if they had encountered any occurrences like this and no one had any answers.

At the time and to this day I know it was something akin to what You speak of Sir Clif.

Thanks, and Cheers

The ontological model of the world as understood by Clif High is a complex and multifaceted framework that seeks to explain the nature of reality, consciousness, and existence through a synthesis of linguistic analysis, predictive modeling, and esoteric philosophy. Clif High, a self-described "linguistic forecaster" and "data miner," has developed this model over decades of work in analyzing human language patterns to predict future events and trends. His ontological model is deeply rooted in the idea that reality is not a fixed, objective construct but rather a dynamic, emergent phenomenon shaped by the interplay of consciousness, language, and information.

At the core of Clif High's ontological model is the concept that reality is fundamentally informational. He posits that the universe is a vast, interconnected web of data, and that all phenomena—physical, mental, and spiritual—are manifestations of this underlying informational substrate. This perspective aligns with certain interpretations of quantum mechanics and information theory, which suggest that information is the most basic building block of reality. In this view, particles, forces, and even consciousness itself are emergent properties of informational interactions.

High's model also incorporates the idea that human language is a key mechanism through which this informational reality is shaped and expressed. He believes that language is not merely a tool for communication but a generative force that actively participates in the creation of reality. By analyzing patterns in human language—particularly through his work with "webbots," which are automated programs designed to scrape and analyze vast amounts of online text—High claims to be able to discern emerging trends and shifts in collective consciousness. These shifts, he argues, are precursors to changes in the ontological structure of reality itself.

A central tenet of High's ontological model is the notion of "time waves" or "temporal dynamics." He suggests that time is not a linear, unidirectional flow but a complex, multi-dimensional field that can be influenced by human intention and collective consciousness. According to High, certain linguistic patterns and archetypal symbols act as "attractors" that pull reality toward specific outcomes. This idea draws on concepts from chaos theory and nonlinear dynamics, where small changes in initial conditions can lead to large-scale effects over time. In High's framework, these attractors are embedded in the collective unconscious and are expressed through language, art, and cultural narratives.

Another important aspect of High's model is the role of consciousness as a co-creative force in shaping reality. He argues that individual and collective consciousness are not passive observers of an external world but active participants in its ongoing creation. This perspective resonates with certain interpretations of idealism in philosophy, which hold that consciousness is the fundamental ground of all existence. High extends this idea by suggesting that shifts in collective consciousness—driven by linguistic and symbolic changes—can lead to profound transformations in the ontological structure of reality.

High's ontological model also incorporates elements of esoteric and mystical traditions, particularly those that emphasize the interconnectedness of all things. He frequently references concepts such as the "Akashic records," a metaphysical library of all human experience and knowledge, and the "morphogenetic field," a term borrowed from biologist Rupert Sheldrake to describe a field that shapes the development and behavior of living systems. High suggests that these concepts are not merely metaphorical but reflect real, albeit non-material, aspects of the informational substrate of reality.

In practical terms, High's ontological model has implications for how individuals and societies navigate the challenges of the modern world. He argues that by becoming more aware of the linguistic and symbolic patterns that shape our reality, we can consciously influence the direction of collective evolution. This involves cultivating a deeper understanding of the archetypal forces at play in our lives and learning to align our intentions with the emergent patterns of the informational field. High's work often emphasizes the importance of personal responsibility, ethical action, and the cultivation of higher states of consciousness as means of contributing to the co-creation of a more harmonious and enlightened reality.

Critics of High's ontological model often point to its speculative nature and the lack of empirical evidence to support many of its claims. However, High himself acknowledges that his framework is not intended to be a strictly scientific theory but rather a heuristic tool for understanding the complex interplay of consciousness, language, and reality. He views his work as part of a broader tradition of esoteric knowledge that seeks to explore the deeper mysteries of existence through a combination of intuition, analysis, and experiential insight.

In summary, Clif High's ontological model of the world is a rich and intricate tapestry of ideas that weaves together insights from linguistics, information theory, quantum mechanics, and esoteric philosophy. At its heart is the belief that reality is an emergent, informational phenomenon shaped by the dynamic interplay of consciousness and language. By understanding and influencing the patterns that underlie this process, High suggests that we can actively participate in the co-creation of a more enlightened and harmonious world. While his model may be controversial and difficult to verify through conventional scientific methods, it offers a compelling and thought-provoking perspective on the nature of reality and our place within it.

Next morning Group A reported sobering statistics. Group B confirmed them with description s of broken windows boarded up homes broken sidewalks needles on the street prostitution and drugs etc etc . After the first two groups the energy went of the room. there was a palpable saddest. Then Group C reported. Each person they encountered loved their community, were optomistic of the future, have no plans to leave, appreciate the community spirit and the diversity. love the food. When asked what could help they asked the suburban people and veterans affairs to take of their own homeless and addicted and not dump them in the city to force poor people to care for them

Clif High’s ontological model of the world is an elaborate, speculative framework that synthesizes ideas from linguistics, quantum mechanics, information theory, esotericism, and futurism. High, known for his work in linguistic forecasting and predictive analytics (via his "web bot" project), posits that reality is a dynamic, emergent phenomenon shaped by the interplay of **consciousness**, **language**, and **informational fields**. Below is a detailed breakdown of his model, contextualized with references to thinkers, theories, and traditions that parallel or inform his ideas:

---

### **1. Reality as an Informational Substrate**

High asserts that the universe is fundamentally composed of **information**, a view aligned with modern interpretations of quantum mechanics and digital physics. This echoes physicist John Archibald Wheeler’s "it from bit" hypothesis, which suggests that information underpins physical reality. High expands this by proposing that consciousness itself is an emergent property of this informational matrix. He often references **David Bohm’s implicate order**, where reality unfolds from a deeper, enfolded realm of potentiality, and **Claude Shannon’s information theory**, which quantifies data as the basis of communication systems. For High, particles, emotions, and even time are "packets" of information interacting within a vast, interconnected field.

---

### **2. Language as a Generative Force**

Central to High’s model is the idea that **human language** is not merely descriptive but *creative*. He argues that linguistic patterns encode future probabilities, a concept reminiscent of **Ludwig Wittgenstein’s** later work on language games and reality construction. High’s "web bots" (software designed to scrape and analyze online language trends) purportedly detect shifts in collective consciousness by identifying recurring symbols, metaphors, and emotional tones. This aligns with **Carl Jung’s theory of archetypes** and the collective unconscious, where shared symbols (e.g., "the hero," "the flood") shape cultural narratives and, by extension, reality. High claims that language acts as a "programming code" for the universe, a notion paralleling **Terence McKenna’s** ideas about "novelty theory" and linguistic time-binding.

---

### **3. Temporal Dynamics and Time Waves**

High proposes that **time is nonlinear** and fractal, a concept he terms "time waves." This draws from **McKenna’s Timewave Zero** hypothesis, which maps historical novelty and entropy as cyclical patterns. High, however, emphasizes that human intention and collective linguistic activity can "bend" these temporal waves, creating bifurcation points (borrowing from **Ilya Prigogine’s** dissipative systems theory). He suggests that major events—wars, technological leaps, societal collapses—are "attractor points" in the temporal field, pulling reality toward specific outcomes. This idea intersects with **chaos theory**, where small inputs (e.g., a viral meme) generate disproportionate effects (the "butterfly effect").

---

### **4. Consciousness as a Co-Creative Agent**

High’s model leans heavily on **idealism**, the philosophical stance that consciousness precedes matter. He cites **Bernardo Kastrup’s** analytic idealism, which posits that reality is a shared mental construct. For High, individual and collective consciousness act as "lenses" focusing the informational field into material form. This aligns with **quantum consciousness theories** (e.g., **Roger Penrose** and **Stuart Hameroff’s** orchestrated objective reduction), where microtubules in the brain interact with quantum fields. High also invokes **morphic resonance** (from biologist **Rupert Sheldrake**), proposing that collective habits and memories shape reality through nonlocal fields.

---

### **5. Esoteric and Mystical Influences**

High integrates elements from occult and mystical traditions:

- **Akashic Records**: Borrowed from Theosophy (e.g., **Helena Blavatsky**, **Alice Bailey**), High describes these as a non-physical "database" of all human experience, accessible through heightened consciousness.

- **Hermeticism**: The principle "as above, so below" informs his view of nested, holographic realities.

- **Shamanic Cosmology**: High references "reality tunnels" (a term from **Robert Anton Wilson**) and shamanic journeying as methods to navigate ontological layers.

---

### **6. Practical Applications: Predictive Analytics and "Web Bots"**

High’s work with linguistic forecasting aims to predict societal shifts by analyzing online language. While criticized for its lack of scientific rigor, he frames this as a modern application of **ancient divinatory practices** (e.g., the I Ching, Tarot), where patterns in chaos reveal latent order. His predictions often focus on geopolitical upheavals, technological disruptions, and "ontological shocks"—sudden shifts in humanity’s perception of reality.

---

### **Criticisms and Context**

High’s model is often dismissed as pseudoscientific syncretism, blending fringe theories without empirical grounding. However, it resonates with trends in **post-materialist science** and the **consciousness revolution** advocated by thinkers like **Deepak Chopra** and **Ervin László**. His emphasis on language as reality-shaping also parallels **postmodern deconstructionism** (e.g., **Jacques Derrida**), though High rejects nihilism in favor of a teleological, evolutionary worldview.

---

### **Conclusion: A Synthesis of Disparate Threads**

Clif High’s ontological model is less a unified theory than a **collage of ideas** from quantum physics, linguistics, chaos theory, and mysticism. It reflects a growing cultural fascination with bridging science and spirituality, framed through the lens of digital-age information dynamics. While lacking peer-reviewed validation, it offers a provocative narrative for those seeking to reconcile materialism with the mysteries of consciousness. As High himself might say, reality is a "story we’re all writing together"—one punctuated by linguistic algorithms, temporal ripples, and the occasional web bot prophecy.

---

**References & Parallel Concepts**:

- **John Archibald Wheeler**: "It from bit" (information as foundational).

- **David Bohm**: *Wholeness and the Implicate Order* (hidden dimensions of reality).

- **Terence McKenna**: *Timewave Zero* (novelty and time’s fractal nature).

- **Rupert Sheldrake**: *Morphic Resonance* (habitual fields in nature).

- **Bernardo Kastrup**: *The Idea of the World* (analytic idealism).

- **Carl Jung**: *Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious* (symbolic patterning).

- **Robert Anton Wilson**: *Prometheus Rising* ("reality tunnels" and perceptual filters).

High’s work remains a fringe but intriguing contribution to the discourse on consciousness and reality—a digital-age gnosticism for the information apocalypse.

Probably by observation over time. The saying "Old age and treachery will always beat youth and exuberance" is attributed to David Mamet, screenwriter, according to the internet. It seems like an ancient saying, as treachery has been a staple of the world system as found in past extinct civilizations. It reminds me of the work place I experienced. lol.

Reading that quote, I was reminded of another; "The young eat the old, if you let them." King Flippy Nips, to Jerry. Rick n Morty episode, Pluto's a planet.
