Last week I received an email from the school about a critical budget problem.

It was only sent to people who have children in school.

They followed their board meeting protocols which meant public comment was in the beginning before anything was shared with the public. I decided to wait the meeting was adjourned and at that moment I stood up and took control of the meeting. They tried to shut me down but I would not allow it. I told them maybe people that came several hundred had questions and they should have a chance to ask them. The meeting was over so no valid reason to not answer. I asked the first three questions and then I asked if anyone else had questions. It made a huge impact. That one person would stand up against them. They were powerless and everyone saw it. That is what it takes
