I've found study of the Gnostic documents very helpful as they give some structure to how to live if you don't really believe that the Christos incarnated as a human man in Palestine but is a spiritual entity who apparently did choose to experience the astral realms where the demons and archons and Demiurge reside, but also that that story can be understood as being our own higher self coming down to our present level and being mistreated but "saved" or "redeemed" by our higher self that is beyond all that and cannot really be "trapped" or "killed" by these forces, just deluded or tricked by them to keep reincarnating and being their energetic milk cow. Read the Hymn of the Pearl (usually part of the Gospel of Truth) in the Nag Hammadi library of Gnostic docs.
The Gnostic gospels can be a welcome break from the traditional Bible and especially from church dogma, most of which has less to do with the Bible and more to do with social control and power... and the profiting of the church, especially with collections and relics, pilgrimages and so on. One of the late medieval popes commented that the Bible, if translated into common languages, would ruin the church because the dogma was completely different from the Bible. Hence there was much blood spilled over the first translations.
I think you're probably very right about the purpose of Jesus, who, until the church got hold of his teachings, was a representative of the divine, like many guides who have appeared among us. He was possibly of extraterrestrial or interdimensional origin, but not of the destructive kind. The EL are something else entirely.
But if we continuously look for another scripture, and another, in the effort to find the truth, I think we get into many blind alleys. I don' t think we will ever know the true story of the past, certainly not from so many convoluted and contradictory scriptures. Perhaps it's best to leave the past behind and use our minds for direct communication with the divine. While what's called channeling, a version of this, can have its own blind alleys and be ridiculous with people spouting nonsense, as they were accused of in Gnostic days (and some of that stuff is fairly nonsensical), there are some real communications amidst it that ring with authenticity. The best of it explains that there is a Creator, he is aware of us, and there are guides in all ages as well as personal guidance if we want it. Most will say that this is not base reality and is made up out of the minds of its participants, something like an idea construction, explaining that it isn't God who created evil but ourselves who put it there with our own fears and negative emotions. In this quantum paradigm we are all creators of our own reality, which may touch points with others of the same general ideas and beliefs. Anyway, the best source of information is ourselves, not looking at old writings, as interesting as they might be, but using our own minds to communicate with the Divine, from which we come and of which we are a part. It was that very thing that caused Gnosticism to be declared a heresy and got a lot of people fried. It's said that Gnosticism is the secret teaching of Jesus and we can understand why he kept it for those who might be able to understand. Gnosticism values direct experience of the divine, apparently a teaching of Jesus and it's not dissimilar to Buddhism and Brahmanism ("Brahma dreaming".) The latter religions wouldn't call it "divine" but "what is". I personally believe all this and I believe that as teachings age they always become hardened into dogma, ever more distant from the truth. The simple truth is accessible, and Jesus and many guides taught it...The kingdom of heaven is within you. The inner is reflected in the outer, so he also said that the kingdom of heaven is spread out on the earth but men do not see it. It's all a matter of perspective.
It's dismaying that when people find out the Bible is full of ETs they ditch the baby with the bathwater. The Bible teaches that there is a divine to be known and accessed. After that truth it collapses into another story, one you can peal away and find the truth.

The Bible is only about the Elohim and their rule over the people. It does not mention the actual true Creator. It has been spun purely to lie to and control the populations.
More on Mauro Biglino, he was translator of 19 books of the OT for the Edizioni San Paolo, a publishing house the Vatican uses. He studied various ancient languages and is a top expert/translator in his field. He has videos on You Tube also. Another good one to check out is Paul Wallis, also on You Tube, and an expert in this field. He and Mauro Biglino teamed up for a video as well.
I'm pretty familiar with both from YT podcasts, although I haven't read Biglino's book. I did read Wallis' books. Do you think Jesus was an EL? If you read the Urantia book there's a whole different version of who Jesus was. He was an ET but sent by interdimensionals to do bring a message to the world of love. (Unlike Clif, I do think different dimensions exist, but that's another discussion.) His coming was called "the Bestowal," so that's how it was seen. The religion of Jesus was love, but the religion ABOUT Jesus rapidly became horrific. Malachi Martin's history of the Catholic church, Decline and Fall of the Roman Church, a great read, shows that the popes were corrupt by the 200's. Perfect example of power corrupting. As soon as the Church began to accrue power, it was corrupted. Same power vultures stepped in that had been around forever. Many families in the papacy from then on had roots in the families of ancient Rome's emperors. They are now in what's called the Black Nobility. So in my opinion the religion of Jesus was love, but the religion of the Church was EL.
In a word yes; he says the Bible (OT) never uses the word "God" (to that I will add that confusion set in when the Greeks of Alexandria translated the OT and of course used their own understandings of "God" etc., which were platonic and hermetic (as in the ONE, the Good, True, and Beautiful; in other words, a more philosophical understanding). I'm not somebody who tries to adhere literally to the Bible or follows modern church beliefs. At all. But from my studies, I understand that Jesus did in fact incarnate and that many ascended masters due because they've gone through the evolution process at will, many times and have transcended much and come to guide us, much like angels but ones who are willing to be in the human body. I believe this too. Jesus was no ordinary man. Probably neither was Buddha or other great teachers. Mohammad seems to have been QUITE human though. As to angels, there is much to say so in various sacred scriptures outside of the Bible. Also many accounts of people who in critical circumstances have been saved by, helped, or communicated with by what they called angels. Something's out there helping, whatever they call it!
I don't think there's any other kind! It's looking like Darwin's theory is on the way to the crapper for a number of reasons. People tend to think that the choice is between creationism and Darwin. I think both have serious flaws. To my mind what we call evolution is probably a quantum event of some kind we don't understand. They never find one species becoming another in the fossil record. There are changes, similar to the changes required to make a wolf into a chihuahua. But that animal is still a wolf under it all. Plus things we know from cellular biology now don't support Darwin. Not to even mention that the genetic changes to create, say, a functioning frog from a working amphibian would be millions, AT THE SAME TIME, not likely under probability. But Darwinism is a religion and, just like a religion, we must believe it. It's a religion that teaches our irrelevance and meaninglessness as a random mutation, and the dog-eat-dog that craven nothings can't rise above. Lessee, where have we heard this before. The "lane" is what comes from allowing the Bible to speak to your spirit and the resonance of knowing that the Creator speaks to His creation through truth and love. All of my studies in science, engineering, philosophy and comparative religions in my 68 years has not made me so arrogant to think that I have it all figured out. It is ok to know what you don't know and to believe that good and love and truth are eternal as are those who live accordingly. I cannot convince anyone of these things. It is a personal walk and relationship.

One might ask whether Clif has carte blanche on truth. He speaks as if there's no question of his opinions. Does he own this lane? Do Mauro Biglino and others of the same bent like Paul Wallis? If you trust and have reviewed their work, fine, but anyone who doesn't know that Clif is more than a little schizo, and prone to strange internal experiences from drug use, along with being outrageously opinionated on WHATEVER...that person isn't paying attention. When you listen to Clif, who is still interesting despite it, better bring your discernment. I don't see that anybody's got a lane here. Take in what's here and do yer due diligence.
I'll just remake my point. Discernment. I believe we're all responsible for what we "see." In other words how we frame things, what we take as true. In the quantum world, and I haven't seen Clif justify his disbelief about it, it's that framework....the idea framework...that brings about personal experience. Not just in how we see things but in what actually comes about.
We do see some fracases around here, but people are working things out and sometimes that gets emotional. Emotions are part of the choices. I may look at something I said a week ago and reassess it entirely. None of it is distraction. It's all part of the reality we are each choosing....and that's the inner work. No one escapes inner work, no matter how cavalier they are. It can look very messy.

When really they need to just look in the mirror. Arguing about what to believe is just a distraction from our own internal work.

Yes, it is not a "Normal" topic for discussion. It has been embraced and understood in the past. It usually does not get much traction in Today's; Status Quo, Dogma World.
It does explain to greater and lesser degrees, why some people behave the way that they do. Put on the Armor of God and go forth. There are a lot of things we didn't get told about in Sunday School or Church. Ever read the history behind Psalms: 23, 64 & 91?
I wonder if anyone does swallow his ideas so completely. Some of them seem competent, some absurd. The predictions aren't often correct, and we're all waiting for the $600 silver, but that's often the way it goes with predictions. I listen and see what makes sense and leave the rest behind. The brashness is just his nature, but some may take it as marking something surely true. Grain of salt and all that...
Listening to people like clif helps me expand my thinking into new areas. I cringe at his term space aliens, because I don't believe in space, but I do believe in extra territory that other beings could come from. And I don't believe in the use of psychotropic drugs, however.. he says they helped him so I'm no judge. We need people like him to break us out of our comfort zone. We don't have to believe what they believe, but it stirs our consciousness and gets things flowing like we've been given permission to explore other areas. Hard to describe but much appreciated .
Yeah, take what works leave the rest. Because he doesn't say it too often people can miss that Clif believes in a divinity and he calls it universe so that people don't confuse it with the god of dogma. Doesn't bother me that he points out that the story was really about ETs. It probably was. But we also know from the writings on clay tablets of the ancient near east, that the story didn't begin with the Bible. The Bible copped its first books from early Sumerian writings. It was in Ur that Judaism originated and it takes their old creation stories, the flood story, and maybe even Ezechiel and his spinning wheels in space on board as its own. It does gives them a different twist with the god NOT creating them as slaves but as loved children. Old Yahweh was pretty rough though and a Jewish friend tells me that, in Judaism, God is considered to have a good side and a bad side. One thing you can say about dogma, it morphs as it spreads.
Because Biglino was brave enough to come forward and state openly that translators were/are just copying the same accepted and approved narrative. They made up words to use where there is NO translative word. They put in words that give it a different meaning. (You don't suppose it is because 'they' have an agenda do you?)
Instead of bad-mouthing and insulting people that DO take the time and effort to look into this - why don't YOU pick up a Strong's Concordance and do some studying also? What a novel idea! You may even find a discrepancy or two.
Genie; You make some great points. Mauro Biglino has great archives to cross reference multiple perspectives and languages, not available to most of us . Many translations as you mentioned were not accurate for whatever reason. That was a concern of mine when reading Biblical text that had made numerous translations from: Sumerian, Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, Latin, English, American etc. Even when somebody is trying very hard to be precise in a translation, it is very easy to lose context or total meaning... That's how I wound up as the oldest kid in Hebrew Class at 71... I had to start somewhere to try and get back as close to the original manuscript/thought as I could....

When drugs are involved, it becomes a drug experience, something internally real, not something necessarily real for anyone...or anywhere... else. It's more like dreams. Curious catholic here. I have always believed in life off planet. I can’t imagine why our glorious prime creator (God) would limit his creation to this one tiny planet. Christianity should truly be thought of as separate from Judaism and Islam, the TWO Abrahamic religions. In fact, it's the antidote to them. We've been brainwashed to think of the "Judeo-Christian" culture but Christianity is totally different from the other two. It should not be thought of as originating in Judaism. I've found study of the Gnostic documents very helpful as they give some structure to how to live if you don't really believe that the Christos incarnated as a human man in Palestine but is a spiritual entity who apparently did choose to experience the astral realms where the demons and archons and Demiurge reside, but also that that story can be understood as being our own higher self coming down to our present level and being mistreated but "saved" or "redeemed" by our higher self that is beyond all that and cannot really be "trapped" or "killed" by these forces, just deluded or tricked by them to keep reincarnating and being their energetic milk cow. Read the Hymn of the Pearl (usually part of the Gospel of Truth) in the Nag Hammadi library of Gnostic docs.
The Gnostic gospels can be a welcome break from the traditional Bible and especially from church dogma, most of which has less to do with the Bible and more to do with social control and power... and the profiting of the church, especially with collections and relics, pilgrimages and so on. One of the late medieval popes commented that the Bible, if translated into common languages, would ruin the church because the dogma was completely different from the Bible. Hence there was much blood spilled over the first translations.
I think you're probably very right about the purpose of Jesus, who, until the church got hold of his teachings, was a representative of the divine, like many guides who have appeared among us. He was possibly of extraterrestrial or interdimensional origin, but not of the destructive kind. The EL are something else entirely.
But if we continuously look for another scripture, and another, in the effort to find the truth, I think we get into many blind alleys. I don' t think we will ever know the true story of the past, certainly not from so many convoluted and contradictory scriptures. Perhaps it's best to leave the past behind and use our minds for direct communication with the divine. While what's called channeling, a version of this, can have its own blind alleys and be ridiculous with people spouting nonsense, as they were accused of in Gnostic days (and some of that stuff is fairly nonsensical), there are some real communications amidst it that ring with authenticity. The best of it explains that there is a Creator, he is aware of us, and there are guides in all ages as well as personal guidance if we want it. Most will say that this is not base reality and is made up out of the minds of its participants, something like an idea construction, explaining that it isn't God who created evil but ourselves who put it there with our own fears and negative emotions. In this quantum paradigm we are all creators of our own reality, which may touch points with others of the same general ideas and beliefs. Anyway, the best source of information is ourselves, not looking at old writings, as interesting as they might be, but using our own minds to communicate with the Divine, from which we come and of which we are a part. It was that very thing that caused Gnosticism to be declared a heresy and got a lot of people fried. It's said that Gnosticism is the secret teaching of Jesus and we can understand why he kept it for those who might be able to understand. Gnosticism values direct experience of the divine, apparently a teaching of Jesus and it's not dissimilar to Buddhism and Brahmanism ("Brahma dreaming".) The latter religions wouldn't call it "divine" but "what is". I personally believe all this and I believe that as teachings age they always become hardened into dogma, ever more distant from the truth. The simple truth is accessible, and Jesus and many guides taught it...The kingdom of heaven is within you. The inner is reflected in the outer, so he also said that the kingdom of heaven is spread out on the earth but men do not see it. It's all a matter of perspective.
It's dismaying that when people find out the Bible is full of ETs they ditch the baby with the bathwater. The Bible teaches that there is a divine to be known and accessed. After that truth it collapses into another story, one you can peal away and find the truth.

I wanted to ask...Does this mean that every OT name for "God" is an EL of some stamp? (Not that it matters because I know about the real God, the actual Creator, but is there any reference to that greater God? I guess mentioning it would ruin their narrative.)
The Bible is only about the Elohim and their rule over the people. It does not mention the actual true Creator. It has been spun purely to lie to and control the populations.
More on Mauro Biglino, he was translator of 19 books of the OT for the Edizioni San Paolo, a publishing house the Vatican uses. He studied various ancient languages and is a top expert/translator in his field. He has videos on You Tube also. Another good one to check out is Paul Wallis, also on You Tube, and an expert in this field. He and Mauro Biglino teamed up for a video as well.
I'm pretty familiar with both from YT podcasts, although I haven't read Biglino's book. I did read Wallis' books. Do you think Jesus was an EL? If you read the Urantia book there's a whole different version of who Jesus was. He was an ET but sent by interdimensionals to do bring a message to the world of love. (Unlike Clif, I do think different dimensions exist, but that's another discussion.) His coming was called "the Bestowal," so that's how it was seen. The religion of Jesus was love, but the religion ABOUT Jesus rapidly became horrific. Malachi Martin's history of the Catholic church, Decline and Fall of the Roman Church, a great read, shows that the popes were corrupt by the 200's. Perfect example of power corrupting. As soon as the Church began to accrue power, it was corrupted. Same power vultures stepped in that had been around forever. Many families in the papacy from then on had roots in the families of ancient Rome's emperors. They are now in what's called the Black Nobility. So in my opinion the religion of Jesus was love, but the religion of the Church was EL.
In a word yes; he says the Bible (OT) never uses the word "God" (to that I will add that confusion set in when the Greeks of Alexandria translated the OT and of course used their own understandings of "God" etc., which were platonic and hermetic (as in the ONE, the Good, True, and Beautiful; in other words, a more philosophical understanding). The writers of the NT used that version, known as the Septuagint. (Thus, right off the bat you're dealing w/ a translation of something people now believe is the inerrant Word of God (and that, again, usually means the King James Version, yet another translation)

I'm not somebody who tries to adhere literally to the Bible or follows modern church beliefs. At all. But from my studies, I understand that Jesus did in fact incarnate and that many ascended masters due because they've gone through the evolution process at will, many times and have transcended much and come to guide us, much like angels but ones who are willing to be in the human body. I really really like Gigi Young's work on YouTube. She's a very respectable teacher.
I believe this too. Jesus was no ordinary man. Probably neither was Buddha or other great teachers. Mohammad seems to have been QUITE human though. As to angels, there is much to say so in various sacred scriptures outside of the Bible. Also many accounts of people who in critical circumstances have been saved by, helped, or communicated with by what they called angels. Something's out there helping, whatever they call it!

I don't think there's any other kind! It's looking like Darwin's theory is on the way to the crapper for a number of reasons. People tend to think that the choice is between creationism and Darwin. I think both have serious flaws. To my mind what we call evolution is probably a quantum event of some kind we don't understand. They never find one species becoming another in the fossil record. There are changes, similar to the changes required to make a wolf into a chihuahua. But that animal is still a wolf under it all. Plus things we know from cellular biology now don't support Darwin. Not to even mention that the genetic changes to create, say, a functioning frog from a working amphibian would be millions, AT THE SAME TIME, not likely under probability. But Darwinism is a religion and, just like a religion, we must believe it. It's a religion that teaches our irrelevance and meaninglessness as a random mutation, and the dog-eat-dog that craven nothings can't rise above. Lessee, where have we heard this before. Um, that would be in ET bullshit. See? It all fits together.

The "lane" is what comes from allowing the Bible to speak to your spirit and the resonance of knowing that the Creator speaks to His creation through truth and love. I only make the argument because others have made arguments with the same basic rationale, and have forced new laws or a rewriting of old laws based on that reasoning. Any talk of God in public schools, or biblical quotes in public places is now prohibited on the grounds that such things force a specific religion on the people, which I find irrational.

If you trust and have reviewed their work, fine, but anyone who doesn't know that Clif is more than a little schizo, and prone to strange internal experiences from drug use, along with being outrageously opinionated on WHATEVER...that person isn't paying attention. When you listen to Clif, who is still interesting despite it, better bring your discernment. I don't see that anybody's got a lane here. Take in what's here and do yer due diligence.

I'll just remake my point. Discernment. I believe we're all responsible for what we "see." In other words how we frame things, what we take as true. In the quantum world, and I haven't seen Clif justify his disbelief about it, it's that framework....the idea framework...that brings about personal experience. Not just in how we see things but in what actually comes about.
We do see some fracases around here, but people are working things out and sometimes that gets emotional. Emotions are part of the choices. I may look at something I said a week ago and reassess it entirely. None of it is distraction. It's all part of the reality we are each choosing....and that's the inner work. No one escapes inner work, no matter how cavalier they are. It can look very messy.
I enjoyed what you had to say in a previous thread. In this thread too many are pounding their book with one hand and wagging their finger at everyone else with the other. When really they need to just look in the mirror. Arguing about what to believe is just a distraction from our own internal work.

I wonder if anyone does swallow his ideas so completely. Some of them seem competent, some absurd. Listening to people like clif helps me expand my thinking into new areas. I cringe at his term space aliens, because I don't believe in space, but I do believe in extra territory that other beings could come from. And I don't believe in the use of psychotropic drugs, however.. he says they helped him so I'm no judge. We need people like him to break us out of our comfort zone. Yeah, take what works leave the rest. Because he doesn't say it too often people can miss that Clif believes in a divinity and he calls it universe so that people don't confuse it with the god of dogma. Doesn't bother me that he points out that the story was really about ETs. It probably was. But we also know from the writings on clay tablets of the ancient near east, that the story didn't begin with the Bible. The Bible copped its first books from early Sumerian writings. It was in Ur that Judaism originated and it takes their old creation stories, the flood story, and maybe even Ezechiel and his spinning wheels in space on board as its own. It does gives them a different twist with the god NOT creating them as slaves but as loved children. Old Yahweh was pretty rough though and a Jewish friend tells me that, in Judaism, God is considered to have a good side and a bad side. One thing you can say about dogma, it morphs as it spreads.
Because Biglino was brave enough to come forward and state openly that translators were/are just copying the same accepted and approved narrative. They made up words to use where there is NO translative word. They put in words that give it a different meaning. (You don't suppose it is because 'they' have an agenda do you?)
Instead of bad-mouthing and insulting people that DO take the time and effort to look into this - why don't YOU pick up a Strong's Concordance and do some studying also? What a novel idea! You may even find a discrepancy or two.
Genie; You make some great points. Mauro Biglino has great archives to cross reference multiple perspectives and languages, not available to most of us . Many translations as you mentioned were not accurate for whatever reason. That was a concern of mine when reading Biblical text that had made numerous translations from: Sumerian, Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, Latin, English, American etc. Even when somebody is trying very hard to be precise in a translation, it is very easy to lose context or total meaning... That's how I wound up as the oldest kid in Hebrew Class at 71... I had to start somewhere to try and get back as close to the original manuscript/thought as I could....
You have my admiration! I took a few Hebrew lessons years ago but never stuck with it. The same with Spanish and Irish! I guess I'm not cut out for a second language. Blessings!

Christianity should truly be thought of as separate from Judaism and Islam, the TWO Abrahamic religions. In fact, it's the antidote to them. We've been brainwashed to think of the "Judeo-Christian" culture but Christianity is totally different from the other two. It should not be thought of as originating in Judaism.
