I'd find an intelligent woman who wants to raise a family. Put my head down and grind, working our asses off, making a shitload of money, because I know what I know now, until we could afford af few hundred acres in the middle of nowhere. Probably near the rockies, with a year round watercourse flowing through it for electricity, lumber, any other resources I might be able to exploit. Become the king of sustainability making everything I can make myself, an impressive list at this point. I'd only be intersecting with the economy to buy things I can't produce. Hydraulic fluid and computers for example. I'd get the full benefit of my efforts.

Of course they mean large sums bc so many ppl use banks to pay their regular bills that come every week. Just don’t use banks to holding any additional cash (if you have that). Those bankers would be very happy to use YOUR FUNDS that they now believe belongs to THEM to SAVE THEIR JOB.

It really sucks for us older people. We were robbed all our lives and I’m still working 50-60 hours a week every week, and I’ll lose all my savings. I only have a small car loan and my mortgage, no credit card debt. I’m so pissed. I'd take machine shop in high school. Mostly an academic student but I'm glad I took auto mechanics, electricity and architectural drafting. They have all served me well. I did go to a a good high school.
I'd find an intelligent woman who wants to raise a family. Put my head down and grind, working our asses off, making a shitload of money, because I know what I know now, until we could afford af few hundred acres in the middle of nowhere. Probably near the rockies, with a year round watercourse flowing through it for electricity, lumber, any other resources I might be able to exploit. Become the king of sustainability making everything I can make myself, an impressive list at this point. I'd only be intersecting with the economy to buy things I can't produce. Hydraulic fluid and computers for example. I'd get the full benefit of my efforts.
Raise kids, homeschool them. Teach them to be Clif Highs, arm them to the teeth and teach them to fight a guerilla war should the need arise.

Me too, like sump pumps, water well pumps, and lots of other things one might not be able to buy like big batteries, brakes on all vehicles, tires, and even faucets for the sinks. One cannot be too prepared for this big ugly. Stock up on medications and other things one will need to stay alive (food, solar panels, and other things I will not mention here). You get the point.
Yes, for example: A year or so ago I was having a hell of a time getting motorcycle tires. I found some that I liked and I have 2 sets of spares for two bikes. & etc...
