Well it's certainly plausible. My point is (assuming that we take the belief that the US dollar is actually worth something) what would one change their Bitcoin into? Presumably dollars. The dollar is at the end of its lifecycle. This is nothing new - the pattern has happened thousands of times before and each time people run back to gold. Why? Because gold is tangible, is used in multiple sources, and has the broadest base of buyer. Bitcoin has none of these properties. Aside from being a quasi hedge to inflation/deflation it has no other use case. This is why I can't trust it.
