My house is bigger than I can really adequately take care of. My half-acre is bigger and hillier than I can adequately take care of. My prepping is ... desultory: half-good, half-insufficient. I wish I knew into which bit bucket substack threw my last effort. Probably it was too long winded anyways. I would have liked to hear more of your story. permit me to share some of mine. May I ask you if, during these last 3 years or so, you are finding others of like mind entering your circle? I have come to the shocking reality that, to paraphrase an old saying, "you can choose your friends (who become immediately trustworthy, close and do not call you a "conspiracy theorist" nut case) but you can't choose your family( who become estranged and distanced aquaintances)" I've found so many long marriages breaking up over these last few years. It appears to me that a pattern repeats, where one spouse cares and speaks out against injustice and the other just simply doesn't give a damn. What a rift. And to think that people have been married to complete strangers for many years. There is something BIG happening now. Amazing times to be alive. Find your community and you will feel that you have come home. GoOD has won this already.
Like mind? Eh, bit o' this, bit o' that... Family and I still maintain cordial -- if superficial -- contact (helps (?) that they're across the continent from me). I have always rolled my eyes painfully when trying to 'reach' them about something HUGELY important (in a "grander" scale: so much of the world is going to hell!) and they are not interested. It's dismaying and disorienting to realize that something SO important, so fraught with future destruction, means nothing...
I learned that they (like my neighbors and a few friends) just want to "live their little lives." They may NOTICE that eggs cost a gazillion bucks -- IF you can find them! -- but that does not move them to look in to maybe WHY.
My Michael used to point out: "no cowboys without cattle." The country, the world, would not in the midst of mass murder (on SEVERAL levels!) plus insane (and intentional) destruction if MOST people were not cattle. Just want to graze, chew their cud, and stare blankly at the pretty scenery. (Or. do their jobs, raise their kids if they've got 'em, and mow the lawn.)
I'm ... not quite struggling (because "to what end?") ... with the idea that my sisters WILL die before me. (Bro-in-law died after booster last year.)
I worry, in a general, hopeless, way that my lovely neighbor -- who already spent a half-day in the ER with a heart problem -- and "I'll do what my cardiologist say, thanks..." and just proudly teased me that got her bivalent FLU shot! In early 2020, she, her husband, and I used to tal... well, okay, *I* would rant and they would let me... (her husband used to joke that by "bringing up the covid he could set me off" the way I set off their Jack Russell. (We'd SINF together, the Badger and I! They were NOT best-pleased at the noise.) But, I don't THINK they got the covid booster... it's gotten to the point where ... well, cattle... Explaining to cattle that there's a chance they could at least partially ameliorate the damage of the poison they took... yeah... cattle don't speak that language.
So, every once in a long while, when I just can't stop myself, I'll email some data... NEVER hear back, don't know if they read it; am guessing not.
On the other hand: HOA prez and I were chatting and she said she'd gotten her appt (finally!) for the first shot. OMG! NO NO NO!! So, I filled her in -- she has an autoimmune problem already! -- and she decided, and enforced, neither she, her husband and their two kids got the shots! She's happily pureblood!
Now, my focus (cause I start chatting with anyone) is, like Ryan Cole: "if you've had one shot, don't take another; had two? don't take three! Etc." ({sigh} LOTS of folks are shot, of not boosted!) So, I give them a briefing on: "okay then: they THINK, it looks as IF, they're doing the studies, you can lessen the damage and maybe prevent problems by... the usual litany: Vit D levels up up up! NAC, Zinc, FLCCC, Ivermectin seems to STOP the spike from entering cells... etc. etc. along with NO ONE with a VIt D level above 50 was hospitalized or dies of covid. It LOOKS as if (they're doing studies!) Vit D above 90 MAY have a beneficial effect on cancer! (And my tale of how *I* learned -- 25-ish years ago about reaching the correct D levels!)
One does what one can; and then stares helplessly and hopelessly at those one can't. The "something BIG" worries me all the time: I'm 66: i.e., old, creaky, and cranky! My house is bigger than I can really adequately take care of. My half-acre is bigger and hillier than I can adequately take care of. My prepping is ... desultory: half-good, half-insufficient. I think I wouldn't use amazing for these times... certainly interesting and disturbing? What's the old saying: dead doesn't hurt, dying probably will? HAVE gotten a few neighbors to at least do a tiny bit of prepping. They look at me like I'm insane when I suggest having a plan for repelling invaders from the neighborhood. (Nice, middle-class White folks with jobs hobbies, and "little lives" ... ~3 hrs N of Atlanta. "It can't HAPPEN to me! Moooo.")
Oh, and it turns out, I've finally worked out and both sisters confirm (and probably many folks I've worked with through the decades would confirm!): yes absolutely, I'm (mid-range) asperger's: the deep deep detailed dives into the 'interests' of the momen... of the YEAR; and then trying to tell everyone every detail: "OMG this is SO cool, important to know, fascinating! Can't you SEE?!?!
(No, no they can't.) But at least I no longer 'classify' myself as a socially unbalanced bad person... These health-and-death things we here are hovering over and desperately (in my case, and sounds like in Steve's case! or is that just projection? ) TRYING to get people to look at (Can't you SEE?!?!) are not that we're 'wrong' for caring and trying to DO something... Cattle, no matter how beloved, WILL NOT notice or care about that mushroom cloud on the horizon. So, pet them, give them a treat, and carry on... {sigh}
I'm sure you realize you are not alone. Sounds like you need someone to share notes with on two-way basis. That may be hard to find right "next door" . I joined in a rally on November 3, 2020 and found a group of like minded people where I could speak my mind and feel good about it. We meet together on Mondays, sometime 50+ individuals who do care and want to do something about it. We are not militant. Just involved in community, charity(so many people need it) and just causes. Faith, Family and Freedom is our motto. "Something BIG" refers to the global preparations and ongoing complete takedown of the DS, Cabal, Globalist wannabe dictators. It's already well underway. There are enomous preparations to dimantle it slowly enough to avoid total destruction of our world. A lot is therefore behind the scenes. A wonderful new world of abundance delivered by the grace of God awaits us. I don't believe that destruction of the world and total misery are intended. The Bible has also been corrupted to a degree by the same bad apples that want to terrorize us. Tough times have already been with us for the last three years and for millenia. Soon justice will be ours and we shall see a world more magnificent than humanity has experienced in recorded history. There is a mountain of evidence to support my opinions. It's a reality that can be seen for those who do the research, which may be revealed to many, and which sadly may also never be witnessed by many. We shall all have to deal with the shakeout of the globalist crimes against humanity still to come. Don't want to leave you on a low note. The truth will always set you free. In my humble opinion, the truth is we are promised a beautiful new world very soon. Hold on!
