As a state judge I resent that remark! Not really, Uncle Clif...keep em coming

As someone who has practiced, pro se, in state, federal and administrative court actions, absolutely everything you say is true. The judges advocate for the state, and tailor their "rulings" according to state interests. That being said, lawyers today don't do LAW, they do "procedures." They file paperwork according to a certain "trained" acumen. To beat them you have to, just like in martial arts, take them outside of their fight strength. You have to attack them in intellectual ways that their law school never prepared them for, i.e. jurisdiction, agency, delegation of authority authorizations, state constitutions, federal statutes, etc, and most importantly, you have to destroy their case via your discovery requests. Discovery is where you break their will to proceed. You unveil documents, photos, video, affidavits, all and sundry that proves, unquestionably, your position. If they decline the discovery request, you file the Motion to Compel Discovery and in that instrument you present your case to the judge. You can tell your side of the story, as you see fit without testifying, prep the battlefield, and cast a shadow of doubt over your opponent in front of the judge. Its a chess game that not everyone can play and sadly the ones who can, really can't.

I have 5 attorneys in my family.... And I can tell you that yes there are many corrupt judges out there that put their self interests and financial gain ahead of the oath they took to uphold the Constitution. However there are many many MANY honorable judges that care deeply about this country and the Constitution and are willing to rule fairly even though it may be against their personal beliefs or wishes.

So true!!! I'm currently in a litigation for stolen property (which the lawyers call "conversion"). The judge made a pre-trial ruling that I only have property rights on one, specific day, and I am only entitled to the specific items, which one, specific friend, specifically requested, with my express authority, and which he was also ready, and willing, and able to take possession of, on the one, specific day. I am not exaggerating, that is literally what the Court Order says, word for word!!!!! All property that undisputedly belongs to me, I have no right to, if it does not meet every requirement stated in the order. The judge refuses to state the reason the order was made, and will not state what law or Appellate decision allows for it. (Obviously because there isn't one!) The level of corruption has truly shocked me to the core. I honestly wouldn't believe our "justice system" was this corrupt if I wasn't experiencing it myself, first hand. We really truly have to abolish this entire system.

Remember too, Judges are appointed by political appointments. Party in charge puts in “their” guy. Some Judges have no legal degree, while handing down sentences in remote jurisdictions. There is no “Judge school” or

“Judge degree”. The Bar Association members sometimes “vote” for Judges based on the criteria of “easiest to win in front of” or “colleague that’s a great friend to all” or “let’s dump this crap job on Mikey cause the pay is not enough money for the rest of the local lawyers to want the job”. This is just some of the PROFESSIONAL criteria used. Even worse, sometimes the public votes for a Judges and they win by a whopping 32 votes out of 50,000 voters who showed up that day. The 32 voters voted straight party and have no idea who they voted for. The rest ignored any choice. 🤷‍♀️

My late mother's youngest sister who died recently at 101, had lived on a rather grand scale thanks to her marriage to a man whose family were Republicans, which was quite shocking to my Jewish conservative family not only that, but ger husband had a restaurant in the same warehouse area where my grandfather ran his wholesale fruit vegetable market

So when Judge Roberts continuously rules "no standing" on all cases contesting the Presidential election (Obama and Biden) he is correct as the United States is a private corporation founded in 1871. The owners could place anyone of their choosing into the White House irrespective of eligibility or competitence. Obama was ineligible and Biden is seriously incompetitent. Great essay Clif.

"Legal cases are decided by judges based entirely on the judges own self interest." Isn't this why the right to trial by jury is so fundamentally important?
