4. For years we've been researching places outside the USA to retire. We think we found it in Panama. We're planning to sell up here in USA move there soon. Sooner than we expected, it seems.
Panama runs on the US$ and has its own FRN printing press.
Are ALL dollar-based economies (outside USA) going to crash financially?

1. Investments, stocks, pensions, etc...Poof, gone. Cash in your own possession will be ideal.
2. If you can get your cash out of the bank, do it. RBC in Canada here wouldn’t even give me $5K cash last fall, any other amount above that was also denied with the added no from ‘risk management’ - whatever the hell that is.
3. Silver over gold as it’s ~80-1.
4. I don’t think anywhere will be great. Best to stick it out in your own country and stay clear of the urban centers.
My bank card has a $1,000 a day limit at ATM. I tried to pull $13K out and they told me I would have to order it and come back in 4 or 5 days to get it. When they won't give you 5K all at once, simply go to the bank ATM and pull out 1K Per Day and in 5 days you have your 5K. There is a way around their BS, it just takes a little extra time. 100K in 100 days ?? lol
Zerohedge noted two weeks ago that the FRN is the defacto currency of 8 countries, and 22 peg their own currency to it. (https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/de-dollarization-has-begun) You're right, there will be some effects on many countries.
A guy I know served in Panama for a while; he was thinking of retiring there or in Costa Rica; he chose a "poor and shunned state", sort of a halfway. He was still thinking about Panama/Costa Rica for the first 2 years, but decided just to settle in, seems happy there. Course, I don't know how bad it'll get there during the big ugly. Good neighbors at least.

Panama is a first-world economy previously famous in the 90s for being a somewhat dodgy money-laundering banking center, but now has extremely strict financial rules.
We like the way of life in the ocean-front areas a couple of hours outside of the City.
Houses/condos are becoming more expensive than when we first looked, however.
There is a large and growing international expat community, friendly and outgoing.
Retiree status gives major perks of food, restaurants and pharmacy discounts. Excellent fresh produce is grown in the country, plus you can buy any imported "American" type food you might need.
However, there is evidently a strong financial interest in Panama from China. I'm not sure, but I think they helped fund the expansion of the Canal, and have invested in other large developments. I have no idea at this time how that might affect the future of the US$.
I agree. I'm in the same position. Would love to get the hell out of here with all my hard earned money, but can't. All this, while these slimeballs are flying private jets loaded with cartel money to offshore tax havens or laundering it through offshore LLC's, ala Biden's.
