I've thought the same thing, In short it will be a value adjusted by inflation. Still from what all I've heard Smart Money will hold on to as must silver as possible, as it will be worth more in the future, when all the dust settles from what's going to come.
I think silver will settle out at a higher value than it has historically. Gas used to be 5.5 gal/1oz. It's currently about 10gal/1oz. I expect this to double again, to 20gal/1oz (or more).
This is more of a gut feeling than serious analysis, but the trend is more gas per silver, and I expect this to continue as silver gets used in more industrial applications (and maybe jump when a lot of silver is discovered to not actually exist).
I've seen where there's over 400 pieces of paper certificates or what have you for every ounce of silver out there, when the dollar dies, people are going to want that silver, that doesn't exist, we are going to see some serious shit when that happens. Also, due to silver's price being so low, it isn't worth it to pull it out of the ground, so a lot of silver mines shut down because of that, and there's going to be a silver shortage, will should drive up prices then. I plan to hold on to as much as I can, unless the price is right.

So if gold hits $10,000 and silver is worth one-fifteenth of that price, then the silver price will be, wait for it, $666, haha! 😈
But, if gold hits $10,000 as a result of a 'revaluation' (due to reverting to a gold-backed dollar or gold-backed debt)...
Then gold would go from say $2,500 to $10,000 OVERNIGHT, with silver doing the same to $666! 😎
The danger being that 'the folks in charge' might revalue the dollar back to 'old money values'...

I thought about getting a dog for my daughter last year, so I looked for a free dog, a stray, a mutt. But 'the historical ratio/relationship of the gold price to the silver price is 15:1 (as gold is 'only' 15 x rarer than silver, and not 80-something times higher as is currently the price differential).
So if gold hits $10,000 and silver is worth one-fifteenth of that price, then the silver price will be, wait for it, $666, haha! 😈
But, if gold hits $10,000 as a result of a 'revaluation' (due to reverting to a gold-backed dollar or gold-backed debt)...
Then gold would go from say $2,500 to $10,000 OVERNIGHT, with silver doing the same to $666! 😎
The danger being that 'the folks in charge' might revalue the dollar back to 'old money values'...
So, 'Silver Dollars', with 15 or 20 Silver Dollars 'worth' (equivalent to) One Troy Ounce of Gold (or One Pound Sterling / £GBP).
So, my worst case scenario is that gold and silver really do 'become money again'!

I thought about getting a dog for my daughter last year, so I looked for a free dog, a stray, a mutt. The exclaimed desire for combating animal abuse or some kind of racket, has apparently made extinct, the notion of a Free Pet. Everyone claiming they are charging several hundred dollars, to combat such, even for a mutt, seems ridiculous.

Animal rescue has become a moneymaking scheme in many situations now. Not all, but many. To be fair, though, because nearly everything is about the money now, there ARE costs involved in their care, wherever they are.
