There is a picture of me somewhere in Tacoma, in the winter, in a coat and shorts. I was 5 and there was 16 inches of snow on the ground. This never really changed. The weird part is that I went to Iowa, from Los Angeles and was re-introduced to my inner polar bear. In Iowa I still wore T-shirts and shorts two thirds of the year. In Iowa some thought I must be nuts wearing shorts, but I always checked the weather channel in the morning, .... oooh it going to get up to 65 today, totally shorts weather. "But, but, but, it's only 27 degrees right now" they would say. Yeah, but it IS going to get to 65, so SHORTS !! In Arizona it is all year round, even on the coldest days. For me 30 degrees only feels chilly, ... if the wind is blowing, but I have definitely noticed that I have become way more sissified to the cold in the 20 years since I have been gone from Iowa.
